It did always seem silly to me that for a wagon train of several people, it wasn’t somehow possible to make several trips to carry back all the meat.
I can’t recall now if Bridgers was an intentional mis-spelling or not.
I was too young to understand this when I first played the game.
Some of the potential trades that came up during gameplay were categorically ridiculous. I always wished there had been an option to hold-up and rob fellow traveling wagons.

If I remember correctly, wagon trains usually moved at a little less than 1 mile per hour. Yet at that speed we still seem to lose the trail pretty often.
Honestly, if I was as wealthy as a Banker, I’m not sure why I’d risk my life moving to Oregon…
